Enrichment Summer Program

MEF is looking for and Enrichment Summer Program Chairperson!

The MEF Enrichment Summer Program is a professionally run, unique summer camp for children entering grades Kindergarten through 9th Grades. This is a beloved program in the Moreland community, and raises funds for MEF's programs and subcommittees.  

The ESP Chairperson will oversee all aspects of the Enrichment Summer Program in coordination with the MEF Board. It is the chairperson's responsibility to manage the budget set with the MEF  Board. You will also be responsible for interviewing and hiring the principal.  You will work closely with the principal to develop the curriculum and set the schedule. In addition, you will work with the MEF Operations Manager to ensure registration and administrative duties are completed in a professional way.

  • Fall:  Interview and hire the principal. Work together to develop curriculum and schedule.

  • Winter:  Ensure the principal is recruiting and hiring adequate staff and all contracts are correct with the District Office.

  • Spring:  Promote the program and be prepared to open registration by the start of March.

  • Summer:  Oversee activities and work with the Principal and Operations Manager during ESP sessions.

ESP’s Goals:

  • To provide quality summer enrichment and educational opportunities

  • To provide parents a safe and affordable place to send their kids

  • To build a strong relationship between MEF and Moreland community

  • To build a great relationship between subject matter experts/ teachers and MEF through summer employment and engagement

  • To raise funds for programs offered through MEF and its sub-committees

  • To provide teachers a lab or an opportunity to develop new programs in their subject matter areas and create one of a kind curricula for classes taught in ESP

  • To provide volunteer opportunities to kids from Middle and High schools, looking to accrue volunteer hours during summer
