• Award winning music program available in grades 4-8 at every Moreland school.

• Music in Moreland (MiM) was formed in 2003 when the instrumental music program in the Moreland School District was cut due to the California state budget crisis.  

• Since 2003, MEF has been committed to maintaining Music in Moreland and financially supporting the music program in the Moreland District.

How does MEF support Music in Moreland?

Funds provided by MEF contribute to:

• 4th & 5th Grade pull out music classes

• Honor Band and Orchestra (for advanced elementary school students)

• Music aid position

• New instrument purchases and instrument repairs

• Sheet music and other supplies

• Middle school Jazz Bands and Chamber Orchestras 

MiM asks for donations from parents of music students annually.  The suggested donation is $200 per student.  All donations go directly to the music program.

MEF’s annual Fund Drive raises money for things not covered by the $200 donation.

We always welcome volunteers interested in getting directly involved in Music in Moreland.  There are many different ways to get involved in programs and fundraising events.
