The Moreland Educational Foundation (MEF) was founded in 1993 by an all volunteer group of concerned Moreland School District parents, administrators and local citizens. 

The primary goal is to provide supplemental financial support to the schools in our district in the areas of technology, math, science, reading, the arts, and to assist in the development of new educational programs which offer significant benefits to the students.

MEF has been a vehicle through which large donor foundations or corporations have been able to provide funds to the Moreland School District .  MEF is also a vehicle that allows parents and friends of the District to provide funds with the confidence those funds will benefit the Moreland School District as a whole.

MEF is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization.  Our tax ID number is 77-0339357.

Purpose

To increase general financial support or additional resources for Moreland District Schools, whenever in the judgment of the directors of this Foundation, funding from public sources is inadequate to provide and maintain consistently high quality educational opportunities, facilities and resources for students of the district.

To assist in the funding for development of new educational programs which promise significant contributions to the education of Moreland School District students.

To increase funding for programs normally provided by Moreland School District Schools for which public funding is for any reason inadequate or unavailable.

To purchase or contribute special equipment to Moreland School District Schools, or to replace existing equipment for which funding is not available.
