Computer Programs Extinct In Our Schools?
Can our children succeed without computer lab instruction in our schools? Considering the area we live in and the technology world around us, the answer is a resounding NO!
Some children have access to a computer at home. In fact, many probably play games on the home computer. But are they learning how to do research? How to write a report on the computer? How to use the computer educationally?
Our school computer lab aides provide:
- Expertise to instruct children in computer related tasks
- Basic instruction on word processing and drawing programs
- Instruction on how to use the web for finding information
- Guidance in gathering information and writing reports
- Computer maintenance, including system upgrades, programs upgrades, coordinating hardware repairs and software
- Plus, the computer lab aides possess the skills to provide the additional support and guidance necessary for our children to develop and learn
How can you help?
Please donate now. We need $94,000 as soon as possible to bring our computer lab aides back to our district schools. That equates to $50 per student. Don't forget to specify Computer Lab Aides Program on the memo portion of your check. Remittance envelopes are in all school offices. Donations are tax-deductible . You may contact your school's MEF representative or mail a check to:
